David Broza, Mira Awad, and the Jerusalem Jewish-Arab Youth Chorus will join forces on stage to commemorate the American journalist and musician Daniel Pearl on October 23 in Heikhal HaTarbut in Lod.
Every year thousands of musical events take place around the globe as part of the “Daniel Pearl World Music Days” established by Daniel’s parents following his kidnapping and brutal murder by extremists in 2002.
The U.S. Embassy in Israel is proud to take part in this important endeavor that promotes cultural diversity and tolerance through music. We are thrilled that David Broza and Mira Awad will perform this year.
As President Obama put it: “These days challenge us to reject intolerance, as we celebrate music’s incredible ability to transcend language and speak to the hopes and aspirations we share.” We invite you to join us in promoting Harmony for Humanity.
The entrance is free, but registration in advance is required. Please make your reservation via tlvpdpe@state.gov.
