Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund

AEIF provides alumni of U.S. sponsored and facilitated exchange programs with funding to expand on skills gained during their exchange experience to design and implement innovative solutions to global challenges facing their community. Since its inception in 2011, AEIF has funded nearly 500 alumni-led projects around the world through a competitive global competition. This year, AEIF 2022 will support United States’ commitment to working with our partners around the world that support U.S. foreign policy objectives, promote shared interests, and benefit local communities.The Public Affairs Unit will accept public service projects proposed and managed by teams of at least two (2) alumni that that encourage alumni networking, professional development, and civic involvement and build on the strong links between the people of the United States and Palestinian people and institutions.

The Public Diplomacy Section at U.S. Embassy Jerusalem’s Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv (PD Tel Aviv) will accept public service projects proposed and managed by teams of at least two (2) alumni that support themes such as:

1- Programs that help create conditions more conducive to a peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians.

 2- Programs that improve instruction and student academic achievement in English language proficiency and/or science, technology, environment, architecture/art, and math subjects (STEAM).

3- Programs that engage and benefit alumni of U.S. Embassy-sponsored cultural exchange programs.

4- Programs that promote women’s empowerment and gender inclusivity.

5- Programs that strengthen the entrepreneurship and economic development ecosystem in Israel, and expand access to that ecosystem among minority communities, women, and disadvantaged communities.
