About Tech-Career

Technology Training Center for Ethiopian Israelis

Tech-Career is a registered NPO established and operated by and for the Ethiopian-Israeli community in 2002. Tech-Career builds the capacities of Ethiopian-Israeli young adults to gain skills, qualify for employment and build sustainable careers in Israel’s fast-paced and demanding high-tech industry. The organization aims to enable the younger generation of Ethiopian-Israelis to fully integrate into Israeli mainstream society, becoming role models and leadership figures in order to break the cycle of poverty that has afflicted the community.

About MEPI Entrepreneurial Incubator Program

The program provided accomplished Ethiopian Israeli high-tech professionals with the knowledge, insight and mentorship to realize their entrepreneurial initiatives and become leaders and initiators of start-ups in Israel’s dynamic high-tech industries. Tech-Career identified talented and motivated Ethiopian-Israeli tech professionals to participate in its Entrepreneurial Incubator. Over the course of 2015-2016, they gained vital knowledge, insight and practical guidance from industry leaders. The goal was to enable teams of Ethiopian Israelis to take the next step forward in bringing their entrepreneurial vision to life. Tech-Career’s Entrepreneurial Incubator graduates focused on innovations to bring crowd sourcing to a new level of efficiency, management tools to help independent business owners and a goods exchange marketplace designed to assist families with young children.

The outcome of this entrepreneurial incubator will be shared by the participants and their mentors in a gala event today September 7th  in Kfar Shmaryaho at 18:30.
