Palestinian Affairs Unit Chief
Chris Hodges is the Chief of the Palestinian Affairs Unit at Embassy Jerusalem. He joined the Foreign Service in 2000 and has served as Public Affairs Officer in Jerusalem; Hanoi, Vietnam; and Accra, Ghana; as well as Deputy Director in the office of Central European Affairs. His other tours include Suva, Fiji and Frankfurt, Germany.
Chris holds a B.S. in International Affairs from Georgia Tech and Masters’ degrees from George Washington University and the Naval War College. He was named runner-up for the 2018 Edward R. Murrow Award for Public Diplomacy and received a 2019 award from the Public Diplomacy Alumni Association for Achievement in Public Diplomacy. He speaks Arabic and German. Chris is married to Joycelyn Narayan and has an 11-year old daughter and 7-year old son.
