During his visit, President Joe Biden announced two new #MEPPA grants!

Over $2 million to the The Peres Center for Peace & Innovation מרכז פרס לשלום ולחדשנות to support the Israeli and Palestinian health sectors to increase mutual trust, confidence and understanding between the two medical fields.

$5 million to עמותת תפוח Appleseeds for young Israeli and Palestinian professionals to learn technology-based skills for career development.

These announcements build on three other grants made earlier this year. Implemented by #USAID, #MEPPA (Nita M. Lowey Middle East Partnership for Peace Act) promotes peaceful coexistence by addressing issues that affect both Israelis and Palestinians.
