FOREIGN MINISTER LAPID: So, we are extremely happy to have the Ambassador here. She’s renowned and a true friend of Israel, fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with us in one of the more complicated arenas in the international community. This is a friendship that is based upon, not only mutual interests, but also shared values and a shared point-of-view of the world. And it’s a constant way of living together and behaving and acting together. So, we are thankful for you and for this visit, and we’re so happy to have you here.
AMBASSADOR THOMAS-GREENFIELD: Well, good, thank you. I am so delighted to be here. This is my first trip to Israel. And as your Ambassador will tell you, I announced early on that I was planning to come and had hoped this would be the first trip that I would take as the U.S. Representative to the United Nations. But I’m just getting here. I’m delighted to be here. I spoke to President Biden on Friday, and he was very, very supportive of the trip and of all of the issues that we will be discussing, and very strong in reaffirming our long and very strong commitment to Israel. And I look forward to our engagement.
FOREIGN MINISTER LAPID: Thank you. Thank you, everybody.
