Notarial Services

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:  The Consular Sections at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem and the U.S. Embassy Branch Office in Tel Aviv have resumed notarial services.  We continue to recommend that you look for a local notary or an e-notary in the United States, valid in certain states as we do not have sufficient appointments to meet demand and other notary options will likely be much faster.

The American Citizen Services Unit provides notary services for those persons wishing to execute documents in the presence of a U.S. consular officer.  This service is available to both U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens who need to have documents notarized for use in the United States.

Appointments are required for all notary services.

The fee is $50 per signature/seal.  The fee is charged for notarizing all types of documents except for forms required by a U.S. government agency (e.g., DS-3053 Statement of Consent).

Only certain documents can be notarized at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate for use in the United States.  Read the following pages for instructions, fees, and appointment scheduling.
