The fees vary depending on the service you are applying for, and accepted payment methods will depend on whether you are applying in person or by mail. We do not, however, accept personal checks.  Please refer to the individual instructions for your specific passport service.

If you are submitting your application in person at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem or the Branch Office in Tel Aviv, you may pay in New Israeli Shekels or in U.S. dollars. Since the exchange rate can change, we are unable to tell you exactly how much it will be in shekels until the day of your appointment.

No. If you are enclosing more than one application fee, you should send only one bank check for the total amount.

We recommend that you contact your bank before submitting the payment form, to decrease the risk that your payment may be stopped by the bank.  If your payment fails, your application may be delayed.
